NOTE EARLY GAME TIME!!

Okay, so that was fun. :)

Now we get to see if it was beginner's luck, the new team wanting to prove they're worth rooting for, or just an fortuitous alignment of the stars.

Regardless, I think G1C is gonna be jumping tomorrow afternoon.

I want, as always, to see heart, hustle, energy and effort. I want to see team ball. I want to see the fans in the arena on their feet, cheering for the team we all love.

I just want to love basketball again...without the chaos or the drama. I just want to be a Kings fan.

Hornets have very good guard play, we don't have Boogie anymore to just destroy them down low.. gonna be a rough game
But we have Willie Cauley-Freakin'-Stein!

We'll see though. Just like with the Boston game, my heart is telling me that the last game was an aberration. Everything clicked in all the right ways; and the massive amounts of emotion were used positively. Give me a few more solid performances (win or lose, I don't care. Just don't lose by 20) before I believe in anything this team can do.

One thing I can say for sure is that I'm excited for the game. I couldn't say that before Denver. I went into that game with a pit in my stomach, and as I was watching that game it really proved to me how much I love the TEAM. & I'm never going anywhere else. Ever.

Charlotte is not a very good road team, so the game is definitely winnable, but I am curious how they follow up that Denver performance.

I'm expecting a solid game with Willie and Skal taking a step back, but Lawson and Collison having better games.

Its not quite an aberration to me, all the players hard played very hard every game this season. They only know how to play one way, and that is hard and with hustle. I expect more of the same but a little closer score.

This will be a tough game. More than anything, we need game time for the team to figure out who we are now. For teams to begin preparing for the new look, so we can learn how we can adjust and still win games.

Building on the Denver win we just need to gel and continue playing with VF's H H E & E mantra.

Been kinda sad around here this past week, a win would be nice. What also would be nice is if some of the guys came back to post :(
The few high profile ones who aren't posting now have been Cousins fans for the past few years. Nothing wrong with that, but there's a difference between those who were upset, and said they were leaving, only to show up and celebrate together after the Denver win, and those who couldn't care less about the Kings now other than to talk down the team while they go off to root for the Pelicans.

I for one am looking forward to hopefully having the return of some of the old-timers who were simpler fans and got turned off by all the drama, polarization and negativity of the past few years.

GO KINGS! It's a win-win situation more or less.. having the kids play their hearts out to win is a very useful experience, and even if we lose it helps us in the draft.

Watched him last night. Not sold. He needs better muscle, nastiness, hops, rebounding hands. But he's awfully young so maybe he develops all this. I feel like he'd be humiliated among NBA rotation players right now. Gotta keep working
I think it depends on what the ultimate goal here is. I'd like that pick :) So, it might be better, for those who think like me, to get the youth reps

I kind of read that as part of the reason for the Cousins trade as that maybe being managements ideal for this season too, to finish in that bottom ten. But I know other fans, the coach etc may feel otherwise

I'm more worried about the impact on Pap's psyche than the W/L. I'm sold on "hoping for bottom 10" and throwing out Paps would guarantee it. But how would Pap's career development be impacted if he is embarrassed?

We're gonna destroy these guys. Man this draft pick situation is brutal... I'm so torn. Charlotte has been awful lately so I'm putting this one in the w column.
I am sure a lot of people are in the same position as you. I emotionally cannot root against the Kings. It cannot be done. BUT ... if we lose, it's a win also because of draft position. As an addendum, I don't think you are teaching young kids anything of value if you teach them not to try. As much as they might understand the logic, it just goes against the competitive instinct of the normal professional athlete.

Besides, although losing may seem clever, if I were a free agent, I would rather come to a team that is busting its balls then one that is deliberately losing. Maybe some people think differently. Finally, losing for draft position may get you into a draft that ends up with a huge amount of crap shootitis built into it. As an example, when we look back in time, last year's draft may have been one of the top three of the last decade and we had cruddy position.

So there. I have spoken ,,,,,, or written ,,,,, or whatever.

Players don't care about draft position. They can't be overly invested in the future of the team when things can change so quickly. Whether they win or not I think this group will show up to compete each game.
