The Sacramento Kings already got rid of DeMarcus Cousins for a more than questionable return, and there's now nothing to prevent them from moving into unabashed fire-sale mode.

Charlotte Hornets Get: Darren Collison

Sacramento Kings Get: Jeremy Lamb, 2018 second-round pick (via Cleveland Cavaliers/Brooklyn Nets)
-------------------
Memphis Grizzlies Get: Darren Collison

Sacramento Kings Get: Vince Carter, 2017 second-round pick (via Miami Heat), 2018 second-round pick (via Charlotte Hornets)
------------------
Utah Jazz Get: Darren Collison

Sacramento Kings Get: Boris Diaw, 2017 second-round pick, 2018 second-round pick
-----------------
Washington Wizards Get: Darren Collison

Sacramento Kings Get: Jason Smith, 2017 second-round pick, 2018 second-round pick
-----------------

So, which one do you predict the Kings are most likely to pull the trigger on?

I would never trade a good, established player, especially one that wants to be here, for a 2nd round pick. But this front office's M.O. is to do things that don't make any sense, so we'll see.

Actually, after reading Collison's recent comments about loving Sacramento and not wanting to leave, consider him as good as gone:

Collison was emotional. He is married and has a young son in school. They have made Sacramento their home and the veteran point guard has kept open the option of staying with the Kings when his contract ends after the season, even with the major changes that have taken place.

“No question,” Collison said when asked if he would consider staying this summer. “I think these fans are unbelievable, you guys (speaking of media) are unbelievable. That’s something you don’t get everywhere else, you know what I mean. I’ve been on a few teams and I can honestly say these are some great people. That’s what makes it so hard to leave Sacramento.”

Before speaking to the media, Collison had already reached out to the Kings front office to see what his future held with the club.

“As far as I know, I spoke to Vlade, he said he had no plans of trading me,” Collison said. “But even before he said that, I’m a little shaken up with the situation with Cuz and Casspi, so we’ll see.”

Pass on all those potential deals. Of course people can point to the draft as a crapshoot and great players get picked anywhere, but moving a solid player for a second round pick is nothing but a salary dump. Doesn't make sense. A rebuilding plan doesn't just mean blindly getting as many draft picks as possible. There has to be some continuity and leadership on the team. Despite his legal troubles from earlier this year, DC seems like a good dude that would be nice to have around to maintain a solid culture.

Did you read that before you hit the post button? ;)

I'd do any of them pretty easily, but getting back Lamb would be my preferred choice. He's having a good off the bench and is one of those guys who can be a breakout candidate if he got more minutes. He's also an extremely good rebounder for a wing and on a great contract for 2 more seasons after this one.

I picked Memphis. Vince Carter will get to Sacramento, remember how old he really is, and break a hip...while running into at least 2 of our young players and shattering at least 3 of their bones in the process.
Omg... man it is dark times..

It's a sad reality when you see us pulling the trigger here.

You can spend some cash vivek...Now you've washed your hands of a 200mill investment you can have some lobster with your steak.

Let's not gut the whole team for two parts of **** all even though that is clearly the theme
