Reke is one my favorite Kings. I really hope he'll be able to flourish with us. Please don't help us win though... please no. Give us all the Ls Tyreke.

Galloway is actually a good player and can play PG or SG. Shoots the three ball at a good clip and plays solid defense and he is on a good contract and is only 25. I see him as a Temple type.
Exactly Evans as a 6th man with Temple/Galloway on the wings (on offense) is a pretty sweet bench next season assuming he signs a acceptable contract and can somewhat stay healthy like a 68-70 games season. Waving Galloway is pure craziness he's a quality bench player and will be next year.

Neat, we're building towards Grant's dream-team of 12 Temple-esq players. They may not be the most talented, but they try their hardest and will have the arena packed each and every night, win or lose!

If that's the case I got 5 guys at my local YMCA that deserves a 10 day contract lol

Welcome back Reke!!!

Hopefully you can stay healthy. I hope you have a Grant Hill type 2nd half of career and put the knee problems behind him.

If he can stay healthy and re-sign for a reasonable contract, he could be a solid rotation player for us.

If I remember right, Tyreke was becoming ineffective as a combo guard for us after that rookie season. Dribbling around the perimeter until the shot clock ran down and then settled for contested long 2's or bad 3's.

Wasn't until the Pelicans playoff run that he started to find success in that role again.

If you find a way to get some frontcourt help you actually have a pretty deep team of solid NBA players and a coach that can squeeze every ounce out of them.

I always liked Reke, was sad to see him go and was hoping that one day we bring him back. He was integral part of that run that got the Pelicans into the play offs a couple of seasons ago. I am happy that he back in Sacramento but NOT at the expense of Boogie.

EDIT: The problem is that we won't see the best of Tyreke. He is an expiring contract, coming off knee surgeries and with minute restrictions on him.

He will be out of Sacramento as a FA at the end of the season because this front office will have no interest in bringing him back and I doubt he would have interest in playing for a rebuilding team, especially the one that ditched him after his rookie contract was up.

I voted twice because I was watching both of those games when they happened and they were both amazing. I was crushed when a newly installed Pete D'Alessandro let Tyreke go just a couple months after we found out we were keeping the team and he was out there at the rally celebrating with us. If there's any silver lining in this at all for me it's that I never thought I would get to see Tyreke 'reke-ing havoc in a Kings uniform in the new arena. I hope the tide of (completely justified) animosity heading for Vivek and Vlade doesn't overshadow the significance of that moment. I hope he gets a warm welcome from the hometown crowd when he puts on that uniform again.

It's appropriate I guess then that my last (and only) visit to Golden 1 to see Cousins as a King was his 55pt game with the "just kidding" un-ejection and game clinching block that followed. That pretty much sums up his tenure for me. Just an absolute unstoppable monster when he wanted to be. He had his faults, who doesn't, but for my money he was always an absolute joy to watch right up to the end, pouting faces and all. He was the id of basketball personified. Perfection is overrated. If I'm ranking 'p words' I'll take passion, petulance, perseverance, and preternatural brilliance any day over perfection. I think our flaws in many ways define us more than our gifts anyway. The joy of being human is in those brief transcendent moments of "overcoming" whatever it is that we need to overcome. I hope he gets a warm welcome when the Pelicans next come to town too. We can't do anything about our front office, but we can still show these guys that we understand what "loyalty is love" means.

Tyreke Evans was my favorite King since Gerald Wallace. I just wish that I could be happy about him being back in Sacramento.
Same here! Gerald Wallace was my favorite player, period, until Tyreke came along and gave me a reason to hope again. I always loved Boogie but not the way I loved watching what those two guys could do on a basketball court. Actually, I'd squeeze Bonzi Wells in there too between them. He was only here for a brief moment in time but it was a great moment.

So what position was Tyreke playing for New orleans? I remember when he was here, there was so many questions about what's his best position. Wonder what position he will play for us. Have always like Tyreke.
