Cousins, on the controversial whistle: "They made the absolute right call. Incredible job by the referee crew tonight... (cont'd)

Chris Herring ‏@Herring_NBA 5m5 minutes ago "I don't have a complaint in the world. I think they should get more recognition for how well they ref these gms." (Cont'd)

"I don't think they get the credit they deserve. Kudos to them. I applaud." *six consecutive hand claps*

"[The refs] controlled the game perfectly tonight. Did a great job. I don't have a complaint."

The rest of the NBA better watch out. If Boogie can maintain his composure and turn it into a "Us against Them" scenario like he did tonight, there will be no stopping him.

If the NBA fines him for these comments, I'm starting a GoFundMe account. One good thing about social media comments - sarcasm is incredibly hard to prove. :D
Yep and thats about the best Cousins can do. The refs will be pissed reading it knowing that it's a slap in their face but can't do anything about it. Though they will likely try to get Cuz again next time.

Anyone know the name of the ref that made the call?

Which is exactly what's wrong with the league. These refs will hold grudges, they will call the game their way, and they will effect the outcome of a game beyond the actual play that happens on the court. It's disgusting.

I think what happened is the ref got fooled. At the same time as Wade missing the dunk Cuz barely put his hand in his back. Wade kind of had a forward reaction at that time and he thought that he got pushed. Obviously, the contact was marginal and didn't affect the dunk attempt. If the NBA 2 minute report gives him a "cc" (correct call) for this then we know that the 2 minute report is total bullcrap.

Is the two-minute report only for the final two minutes, or does it also cover the end of the first half as well? That bailout call against Temple was total BS as well. Right there, that's four points that were gifted to the Bulls, plus a probable two points on the three-on-one fast break the Kings had when ref decided to blow the whistle. This team isn't anywhere good enough to beat anyone by double digits, so that's a huge swing. Ultimately, they're better off losing most of these remaining games, but it's still frustrating as hell to see refereeing this embarrassing. I hope this crew isn't allowed to work the playoffs.

Only the last 2 minutes of the game and OT. The refs are graded on every call but only the last 2 minutes is made public.

I bet the last 2 minute report will say it wasn't a foul. NBA will get it right after the fact because it won't change the outcome and the league still looks legit and will just throw the ref under the bus.

Yep. I have for the past couple of seasons. That's because I can think logically and without emotion. I personally don't feel he's a guy who can lead us past 35 wins. And I've been right for the 7th straight season.
And the mix of prospects and picks we get in return would? Highly doubtful. It would be 20 win hell until the team lucked into another great pick, and who knows when that's happening, especially with this franchises track record in the draft.

Or your thinking with emotion because you don't like Cousins. Of course he can lead us past 35 wins but we need to get him help and quit changing coaches.

Just look at the contact that DMC is asked to absorb with no whistles especially in game deciding situations.
This isnt about getting fooled, it's about calling in favour of guards and wings and it's completely intentional.

If the refs are against Cousins than that's all the more reason to trade him is it not?

I wouldn't make this another DMC vs the refs thing. I think it's more about bigs and guards at this point. The Wizs camw close to a win versus Detroit playing a lineup of Wall, Beal, Porter, Oubre and Morris in the crucial minutes and got away with it against Drummond. The refs allowed lots of contact against Drummond too.
So if your question is, if it would be easier to build a winner around a very good guard, I would say Yes.
Right here and right now the game favours guards. That might change in the future though.

That's cause Drummond was committing stupid fouls (common theme) the entire game and he couldn't guard Morris (since he had 5)who while way undersized is fairly strong and can guard unskilled strong bigs. On top of that Jackson was just going complete iso ball and it was easy for the Wizards to use that line up the only player that punished them for it was the other Morris who was backing John Wall down.

The refs are graded each call, especially the ones in the past 2 minutes. You think he's going to intentionally downgrade himself because he doesn't like Cousins? Give me a break.

I think you are missing the point. The call was made because it was Wade, not because it was Cousins. Guards tend to get the benefit of the doubt much more than big men in those situations.

The real question I have is will he stop complaining about calls during the game rather than post game? That's all that really matters here.
Considering that bogus call cost us the game, I think Boogie showed remarkable restraint. I personally would have liked to see Joerger go completely bat-crap nuts about it.

Has Joerger really gone AWOL once this season? I don't remember. I see a lot of restraint and head shaking on his part. Not a bad thing by means, he keeps his composure and has mild tempered conversations with the officials rather than going off on them.

Again. Do you think he's going to intentionally miss the call and downgrade himself? The answer is no. He missed the call. Plain and simple.
