Is it time to hope for losses?

The answer is absolutely yes we tank from this point on. No point in even risking getting the 10th pick or lower. To me the 11th-14th pick is worst case scenario for us. My real fear as a die hard Kings fan is; I'll set this question up by saying that every year around this time I, like probably everyone else, watch a lot of the NCAA tournament. I also read a ton about prospects from all over, including scouts, forums, etc. Every year there are guys that get drafted at every spot up and down the draft that produce in the NBA. Some teams really know how to draft talent. Other teams know how to evaluate and draft players for their system. Some teams know how to do both (lucky mfers!). I personally don't think our organization has figured out what type of players we need to draft for our system because we have or have had too many chefs in the kitchen making decisions and no direction. I like Vlade too BTW but think he needs help. Here is my question.. Does everyone think our front office can draft and acquire free agents effectively this year and going forward? Along with being down about the team in general lately, I find myself really bleak on our future too. I like WCS though, and think he's going to be a really good player in this league at some point. I dont know how much credit I would give Vlade for him though as i think he fell into our lap pretty much. I guess I'm just upset and jealous of other teams, even teams like the Pistons (who we're playing tonight) for instance.. At least they have a plan! They know where their legacy is and what type of players/coaches their city supports and they go after them.

When a fan of a team doesn't get a good product on the court, can't really get behind all the players on the team, AND doesn't have faith (for good reason) that the front office or ownership can fix the problems, then tell me what that fan is supposed to do? Continue to invest time and money for something that causes more headaches than entertainment? I say, not for much longer. This draft and offseason is uuuuge!

Lin is a game we lose that is actually a win because we improve our lottery chances. A woss is a game we win that is actually a loss because it does not improve our lottery chances.
Thanks for the explanation. :)

Yes just ban the words, we don't need them in our vocabulary :p

What happens after a win? I've forgotten.

Someone mentioned in the game thread that they have a hard time respecting people who root against their team...

so.....

I think its difficult to respect anyone that wants this team "as is" to win... they DONT deserve to win!... they don't play the game right! they don't trust each other, their selfish, immature and yes currently their LOSERS.... its impossible that will change statistically this season.

It starts from the owner.... to Divac.... to the players and obviously the retarded coaches. THIS TEAM RIGHT NOW DOESN'T DESERVE TO WIN.... so yes I'm rooting for the losses because rooting for this team to eek out a few sloppy wins with horrible effort, poor teamwork and gameplay is only enabling all the morons that made this mess possible.

dude as they system is set up with the draft. There doesn't need to be any loss of respect towards anyone for rooting for this team to just keep doing what its already proved so good at and loose more now.... to improve in the long run.

Im sorry but anyone that says they are above this LIN thinking as a fan has no idea how this league works... I'll give you this.... that what the 76ers are doing is despicable and thats taking this LIN thing too far...

Im not going to judge anyone that roots against this mess...it might even make you more of a caring fan...lol!

AS I SEE IT YOUR STILL GOOD AS LONG AS YOU NEVER EVER ROOT FOR THE LAKERS AND YOU STILL SUPORT THIS TEAM WITH HOPE AND A CLEAN SLATE NEXT YEAR LIKE I DO EVERY NEW SEASON.

Only reason to root for losses is when you know the season is lost and you have a chance to bring in a talent in the lottery...it wouldn't hurt to draft a SG, there are some good ones to be had in this draft fortunately.

I still don't know how to respond, because I don't understand the question you are asking.

It actually seems like you're asking two different questions and, I'll be honest, I have no interest in answering the first one. I am looking for clarification on the second one.
I was uhh... slightly "under the weather" with that last response. My apologies.
