  • Yeah I think the Caps are solid. Of course with Ovechkin, they should be. But IDK, I think the dark horse is New Jersey. They are built for June like you mentioned, even though they looked awful against NYI..

Another team I say watch out come playoff time are the Flyers. I just think they're not going to go down without a fight in a 7 game series.

Sooo - with all that said, Sharks/Devils for the Cup!
I really like Washington this year. They are just too exciting. However, I am not sure that they are tough enough for playoff games. Obviously, you can not bully Ovechkin but you can bully Green, Semin and Back easily. Plus, I do not trust their goalie.

I think Boston and NJ (with Brodeur) are made for June. Both teams are great defensevly and good offensivly. I do not like their hockey but it works :) So, I will support the Caps in the East but my favorite is Boston.

Who do you like in the East?
I hope you're right. Yeah something else that has concerned me lately is the Sharks knack for penalties, earned or not. Last week against NJ was just ugly and quite frankly you are right about our support for Nabokov on rebounds.

I just hope they can get past the semis and conference finals...lol. They just can't get over that hump.

Who you got in the East??
The Sharks are very good now and I really like them... I think they have a real chance to win the cup .. however, I do not like that they do so many small D mistakes. Almost every game Nabokov has no support on rebounds and he faces way too more dead shots - 3-5 every game. Team defense is the biggest problem now and I am not sure you can teach Pavelski (for example) how to protect the net.
However, now they have Boyle and Blake and I am sure they will help them to reach conference semifinals and ... there we'll be Datsyuk and Zetterberg :)) But the Sharks are able to beat RW
