Honestly though, Ivey/Duren is pretty much the worst kind of matchup for Sac. The Pistons draw and kick/pick and roll forces the Kings to commit to the help and run outs and that's the flaw in this Warriors style defense.
Well somehow that matchup only produces wins at a 12% clip, yet we somehow can’t figure it out

This Pistons team isn't terrible. Sasser was dropping buckets out there. I also think they look a lot better when Cade isn't playing. He's just a bad fit on this roster. They need to cut hair and just build around this Ivey, Thompson, Duren, Sasser lineup. Credit to them for taking it to us. The Kings played about 10 minutes of good defense out of 48. That's just not going to get it done regardless of what happens on offense.
That's it, the clear answer is the Kings taking Cade and Bojan off their hands so they can continue on this new path of Detroit basketball. haha.

Welp. I can’t even bear to go on twitter and look at the comments tonight. All the melting down and doomer comments, i can’t even be mad at em tonight. Seems like other teams can put together these great streaks of winning and we go and do crap like this at home?? This is just like last season as far as “homecourt advantage” goes.

This is why when people said that getting snubbed in the All Star selection would bring the fire to prove people wrong, nah, not our guys, they just don't have the swagger and that killer instinct consistently.

Settled for way to many 3s when they weren't falling and transition defense is trash.
Story of the season.

I hope people can begin to see it - our offense is one dimensional. It's a huge disappointment as I thought our roster was poised to be basically unstoppable offensively this year.

I am pleasantly surprised by our defense. But we aren't winning anything being a jump shooting team.

This is why Fox is not an All-Star because he doesn't know how to take over game and only pick and choose when to do it. Losing to the worst team in the NBA...wow...that's unbelievable, especially at your own court. This prove this team is unpredictable and in no way can be trusted in winning any game.
I guess his shoulder must be acting up again... I'm done hearing excuses for Fox. He's not showed up for all of our games this season and there's no other way to put it. I don't feel like that's fair for Sabonis. Sabonis is playing the best basketball of his career, but his teammates don't give it their all every single night.

Naw. I don't boo my team unless they quit. They were bad tonight but they didn't quit.
I’m sorry but you’re wrong. You don’t lose to a team that is this bad, at home, and without its two best players, without showing some “quit.” We quit for long stretches of the second and third, turned it in for about 6 minutes to end the third, and then thought we had it in the bag. Zero effort in the 4th. We played hard about 18 minutes. If that doesn’t deserve being booed I am not sure what does.

and they lost in the first round, by losing games 5 and 7 at home. It's a real concern for those that don't want to see that again

the kings are officially a play in team if the season ended today and I'm not optimistic that they can be better than the pelicans or suns.

Everyone Knows Cade is there best player. Kings have been making me very angry latley
Everyone knows that Cade Cunningham is the Pistons' leading scorer. I don't think that everyone knows that he's their best player. They're 3-37 with him this season, and now 4-6 without him. Has yet to have a season where he's even finished Top 5 on his own team in Win Shares. His efficiency is remarkably average, despite being Top 15 in Usage rate. I don't see any clear indication that he's the best player on the Pistons. There aren't many indications that he's even one of the Top 2.

Doesn't make this loss any less embarrassing, though.

To make matters worse we are out of the top 6 and New Orleans is about to beat the clippers to give them a one game lead over us plus the obvious tie breaker. Really bad timing for this loss considering the terrible stretch of games coming up. We need to hold steady and then rip off five or six in a row in march

I just can’t take this team seriously.
The problem is that the players do not take other teams seriously.

Also, Detroit was hitting a lot of three-pointers with shorter players trying to guard them; the closeouts were often good, but the Pistons are taller. I know Mitchell plays very good man-to-man defense, but we needed someone like Edwards out there to keep them honest from the three-point line.

Maybe Mitchell will be gone by tomorrow night? Here's hoping.

This Pistons team is terrible, though.
But clearly they have talent. Their issue is the same issue the Kings had forever. Taking that talent and trashing it through usage or stacking positions draft after draft. I think on paper the Pistons have been one of the better drafting teams but my goodness, without a plan or real workable team it's going to be garbage. Just like it was garbage stacking a bunch of PG's next to Fox and putting him off the ball.

Kings remain an enigma

Best 7 game road trip in franchise history.

Come home to get worked by the worst tram in basketball.

Starts with Fox not showing up and supporting his running mate. We can gripe all we want about the rest of the guys, but as max players Domas and Fox are expected to show up night on and night out, regardless of how the rest of the team is playing. Fox looked great for most of the road trip, but he just doesn't get a pass for a performance like this. Domas certainly does and he far too often is the only one working out there
