And...2017 draws to a close.

A year ago (12/31/16) we lost to the Grizzlies (112-98). Starting 5 was Barnes, Cousins, McLemore, Koufos and Collison. The game was described as "a competitive game that dissolved into a debacle."

The first game of 2017 was played on 1/3/17 against the Nuggets. The Kings won 120-113. The starting 5 was the same and Collison had a very good game. Game thread here

I'd like to see us end the year the way it started. I'd also like to be able to see the game. Hopefully my satellite dish will cooperate. Something knocked it out of alignment and I didn't get to watch the Suns game. :( I think it was the bear, who is very unhappy with the new dumpster. The guy who came up and did the realignment, however, thinks it was the branch that fell from the tree next to the pole upon which the dish is mounted. I told him we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Both teams have the same record. The Grizz, however, have lost 8 of their last 11 games. JaMychal Green and Brandan Wright are listed as "game time decisions," with Conley and Selden out until Jan. 2 and Chandler Parsons out until Dec. 31 (info from the CBS Sports Injury page). DeAaron Fox is out until Jan. 6 and Harry Giles is still as always shown as "out until at least Jan. 2".

Happy New Year, fellow Kings fans. Be kind to each other. DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.

Go Kings!

I resigned myself to expecting inconsistent rotations for most of this season as we give lots of players many different looks. Not sure why some people weren't already expecting to see this for most of the season?
Why would I expect not to be able to guess the starting unit from game to game? It’s an oddity, whether or not you expected that variability is up to you

Yeah, but they've turned this into an "us and them" situation between the vets and young players. We now have total proof it's still a team breaker, just like it always was for any other team that used it. Very telling game at the start. It will be interesting to see if Joerger can inspire some energy.

allowing 36 points to a offensively inept Grizzlies in the first quarter...yikes. This gonna be one of those games you turn off early.

I appreciate Frank being one tough SOB but at a certain point he needs to just get out of the game before he causes himself permanent damage.

they are unbearable every season. By far in the bottom three of broadcasters.
I guess I just dealt with it because I generally enjoyed watching games in the past. This season has been a trying chore, so it "highlights" how bad they really are...
