A back to back on the road but after a win. The Nets have been very intriguing to me the last few seasons. After the infamous trade with Boston that crippled the franchise for years, the Nets have had to invent out of necessity. Good choices for GM in Sean Marks and coach in Kenny Atkinson, along with smart acquisitions from wherever they could be found, have seemingly turned the Nets around and have them heading in the right direction.

The Nets play at a very fast pace and take the second most three's behind the Rockets. With Lin and Russel sidelined, the next player up has been filling in surprisingly well. With no pick this season, finally getting their own pick back in 2019, they have nothing to lose and play hard.

I would not be surprised to see extended Vince Carter minutes due to his 4 years with their franchise. I am hoping to see Frank and Buddy continue their recent play, and for Fox, Skal and friends to bounce back from recent slumps.

someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that since the Nets have opened the Barclays Center, the Kings have yet to win in that building. Thats one monkey to get off their back still.

I do solemnly swear to not be a Negative Nancy and ruin everyone's fun with griping if we win tonight.

The rebuild strategy thread has pretty much turned into a safe haven for us "lin" types, so I'll keep all my criticisms there.

Here's to the kids balling out tonight, win or lose! I think that's something we can all agree on!

For the record, not all of those (likely) lumped into the "Sunshine and Rainbows" crowd are oblivious to the draft situation and our current standings and how it affects this rebuild. Just sometimes it's better to appreciate what's good than dwell on what is not. :D Back to the game!

eh. do you really think he's worse than Acy and Zeller?
He's probably less suited for the modern NBA that those two.

Quincy's got good lateral quickness and Zeller is probably a better defender than Okafor for whatever that's worth.

And Atkinson's scheme, while probably similar to Brett Brown's (both are members of the Pop coaching tree), is probably too complex to learn in the span of a week and a half.

Acy and Zeller are NBA journey men. The Nets are saying they want Okafor in game shape, and I think that's why we aren't seeing him in. As soon as they think he's fit, he's probably going to be averaging at least 25mpg.

I don't think Atkinson likes playing 6'7 215lb Rondae Hollis-Jefferson on 7'0 240lb WCS. Okafor would be slower, but he's at least got the size lol
