[Pre-season] Kings v. Trailblazers - Monday, Oct. 9 - 7PM PT

Basketball is not allowed to be played tonight. It's just a free throw practice scrimmage.

Thank you NBA refs for ruining the game.

Mason continues to impress...he looks like he belongs. It's only preseason but the signs are there. He has natural instincts and makes the right plays despite his height

for being labeled such a good shooter, the guy is a brick machine. I'm all for Bogs starting. His shot is picture perfect.
And he is a better defender and MUCH better playmaker/passer. It might do Buddy good to play alongside Fox, who can break a defense down more and get him some better looks.

Skal is never going to be quicker and leaner than he is now and he's still not quick enough to play the 3.
That is basically what I was asking but he can compensate for quickness with length.

His shot is improving. He has to be able to hit the 3 to move to the wing. He could could shoot over most 3's.

Buddy losing that starting spot. Bogdan seems way more solid at this point.

Buddy overall has had the better preseason but so far none of the Kings wings are finding any consistency. They need to start drawing up some easy plays for their wings and the players need to execute them. I think we are seeing a failure in both of those areas.

Malachi has stunk. The only true odd man out looks likely to be Frank Mason. He has legitimately been good just about every stint he has played.
The only space the Kings are giving at this point is to their PG in pick and roll situations. It's hard to judge Malachi considering the leash he's been on. The Kings either a) find a way to work all of these wings into a system or b) construct a team that makes more sense on paper.

It shouldn't be a question of Buddy vs. Bogdan. We've only seen spurts but the most complete and interesting lineup the Kings can put on the floor is Fox, Buddy, Bogdan, Skal and Willie. It would be a travesty if that unit doesn't get a fair crack to develop some real chemistry early this year.

Yes and Hill's shooting will be better paired with Bogdan's play making. Even if Buddy was playing better, I think the Hill/Bogdan and Fox/Buddy pairing makes more sense. But Mason is going to force some minutes.

I think Hill as to be a part of any most complete line up.

I'm talking in terms of the real future building blocks of this team. Hill being a part will largely be determined by how well the veterans perform when they likely get to run with the ball at the start of the year.
