I don't think Dunn looks nearly as bad as his poor stats indicate. People are calling him a bust already but watching him play a few times, all the reasons I loved him as a prospect are still apparent and Thibs should be the perfect coach for him. I think he'll be the starting PG in Minnesota in a couple years once he learns the system and becomes more comfortable picking his spots and controlling the pace. I feel the same way about Mudiay. If you look at his performance peak, he still looks like a very good player he just doesn't show it often enough to succeed right now in a lead role. His defense is a bigger issue than his offense and you know Mike Malone is going to bench anybody who misses their assignments regularly. In general I think people jump to too many conclusions on rookie performance both good and bad. If you like them as prospects you should reserve judgement for a couple years rather than expecting immediate results.
I suppose all rookies need to come into the league and put up all-star or starter type stats. It's too early to say what kind of player he will end up. He can drive to the hoop and pass the ball. He was known as a defender in college but it hasn't translated to the pros yet. He is adjusting to the speed of the game and the physicality. I believe he will put on more weight so he can bang because his defensive instincts are there. There is no reason he shouldn't become a good defender because he has the tools do so IMO.

I think an even more important day is this Thursday (I believe), is when the coin flips are done to break the Draft slotting ties.

If things hold steady, we will be tied with Dallas for the 8 and 9 spot.

It would be huge for the Kings to win the coin flip and get the 8th spot, giving us a 2 spot cushion come lotto time!

@kingdivac

Its just the results of the lottery simulated using current odds.

In this instance we won the first pick and the 76ers won the 2nd. Then we had to swap places of course.So if this were to actually play out, we would end up with the 2nd and 10th picks. Basicaly our best case scenario.

Mavs just won. If the Kings dont FUBAR this and win they get 8th slot. It they had lost to the Mavs last week they would be tied 5-8 and the Mavs would have been ahead of the Pels assuming they lose tonight.

Yeah, I really hope we lose this one tonight. I'd never suggest tanking even a game ago, but you just have to lose this one tonight.
