I always cringe when the opposing team is downed by injuries or playing tired on the second night of a back-to-back. The rest of the league knows the Kings don't have any heart in that situation. They've shown it time and time again. Last year Philadelphia came in with the worst record in the NBA and punked the Kings at home. The Pelicans, with a crappy record, came into our house and punked the Kings at home--twice. Until the Kings learn to play with heart and always protect the home court against lesser teams, they will always be relegated to the 9th or 10th spot in the conference. I'm done having hope for the playoffs unless there's a serious change of attitude that leads to the other teams being concerned about coming to Sacramento to play a scrappy team. Right now that's not us.

IMHO it is time to play Richardson. Give the fans something to be excited about instead of watching Matt Barnes, McLemore etc. Does that mean losing some games? Maybe. But it needs to happen. If you lose to the Miami Heat at home without Whiteside it cannot get any worse.
Agreed. We're already losing to teams we shouldn't be challenged by. What do we have to lose?

Start developing McLemore, Marcus Thornton has had his chance

Putting responsibility on the shoulder of players who aren't ready for it can ruin those players.
Developing is fine. It doesn't mean starting him or giving him big responsibilities. Other teams have no problem playing their rookies/young guys and having them come along nicely.
