This was possibly the single greatest individual player performance in Sacramento Kings history.
The tenth fifty-point game in the franchise's history... and only the fourth win.

First time in the Sacramento era that a Kings player had 50+ in a win.

EDIT - Discovered new information as noted in post #343

He was trash talking Plumlee... oh no someone's feelings might have got hurt.

I'm so sick of this pu**y NBA!

That was SPORT right there. That's how men play. The effort to sanitize the NBA is getting really, really old.
Thing was... it was absolutely INSPIRED trash talking... not the normal whiny bullcrap. He just earned it and was letting the world know. You don't cut Connor McGregor's mic after he demolishes an opponent. Someone needs to knock some sense into the marketing department at the NBA.

I WANT THAT FOOTAGE!!

I think there's animosity between Pumlee and Boogie going back to two Team USA ago....they competed for playing time back in 2014 or 2015....I forgot whether it was 2 or 3 summers ago. This is one of the criticisms I've had of Boogie, that he can take one-0n-one match-ups too personally to detriment of the objective, but it worked tonight and I loved his competitive spirit. This is one of the best games I've ever seen Boogie play, going back to season ago with his back-to-back 50+ games in January. His TS% tonight was 78%.

Tomorrow would be a good game to rest Boogie. We are going to lose anyway against a very good Jazz team so let's rest him for the final games of December.

whats he saying? PG always got something to say to the refs
PG is one of those other in the exclusive club superstars who can get away with bit over the top trashing refs. Maybe tonight and for first time in career DMC got superstar treatment from officials. They seemed to rule was just yakking at Portland bench and mouthpiece came out.

Considering some of the prolific scorers this franchise has had I find that hard to believe.
Actually, let me amend that statement: B-R.com can only go back to the 1963-64 season. Doesn't take into account any 50-point games prior to that.

Still though, this was the first time since November 18, 1972 that a Kings player had 50 in a win.

You know what the best part of tonight is. Everyone starts dam believing again.

We did this with an asset in the shed. Rudy or whatever becomes of rudy via trade will only help.

Demarcus can put us on his back and go to town. Just call him out. Give him hell. Just dont say we didn't warn you.

Statement game. Career defining game. When we make the playoffs they'll talk about this game as the turning point but the reality is we have been on the cusp all season.

Our time is now and low and behold. We can beat anyone when boogie plays like this. Anyone.

100% agree.

Seasons are stories, franchises are stories. Stories don't change without drama and conflict. This will be the "because" game that can (I hope) wake this team up. Strange as it sounds I think the refs pulling him back out from the locker room (totally unprecedented) is the psychological event that can shift our team's reality. It's the type of event that causes a team to reconsider it's reality and break through psychological limitations it places on itself.

It almost had a "Rocky" or Willis Reed feel to it. Then he sunk that free throw down cold, then blocked the shot to win the game... you could almost hear the Rocky theme in your head.

Russ Westbrook effect...needs to average triple double for his team to win or have a chance. Need 30+ and 12+ rebounds a night from Boogie to compete and maybe win.

We've been here before. I am not trying to be a wet blanket but we won against a slumping team with no defense. The problem is that we need an EPIC HOF game from our best player to come back from 10 point half-time deficit in which we surrender 70 points on our home floor. Thats NOT a winning formula. That's a one off game with your franchise guy playing one of the best games of his career.

This is the thing...you can't expect Boogie to be this great every game. It's impossible. So when he plays more like a mortal you need other guys to step up and we haven't shown we have enough guys willing or capable of doing so when Boogie is just average or slightly above. If you have any confidence in guys like Affalo, Barnes, Willie or Ben, you have more confidence than I do.

Come on...this is typical Kings homerism at it's finest. That was 100 percent intentional.
even he isn't that stupid. i dont think he'd deny it in the post game if it was purposely done

one thing he is NOT, is a punk or a liar. You just sound like u want this to be the case for some reason
