Dudes a clown end of story. Your a ****ing adult, act like one little kids don't even act like that. Where is his family to sit him down and tell him yo what the **** is wrong with you. If that's my son I would be flabbergasted that he still acts like this in his 20s. Then again his family probably let's him get away with it cause he plays ball
He obviously is extremely frustrated with the refereeing this year and has a hard time controlling his temper. It's no secret.

No excuses for Cuz. That was terrible. Is unacceptable.

I'm wondering why he's boiling over though and has been in a funk. I'm not at all convinced it's due to not making the AS game. That's a weak explanation. There has to be either a locker room issue which we had before, leading to the players only meeting, or he's fed up with the losing and the roster being a complete mess.

If it's the losing and this terrible roster, the pressure is extremely high on PDA to fix it within 6 months. I see little which suggests Cuz is a fan of going after high draft picks and the prospect of a multi-year rebuild.
Cuz is still top 10 scoring and rebounding in NBA this season. No reason he won't continue that overall level this season and next and for many years to come. He just needs to cool it at this point and wait for it all to fall in line with better surrounding cast. Nobody like to lose, nobody likes to get hacked, gang banged all over the court. Cousins was making progress with his reputation earlier this season and then it started to unwind. Maybe it's simply a character flaw that he just must fight hard to overcome. Whatever it is he needs to be smart enough to realize his emotions should be one play at a time. In this game he got hot with officials early, kept it going, and finally got tossed - sorry big guy but that's PATHETIC!

You stepped over the line calling out his family. You want to hammer Cuz, go ahead. I think most are pissed at him right now. But given your post you know little about his upbringing. You know little about the father figure he never had and the mother who put up with a helluva lot of **** in bad circumstances.

Put it on Cuz. You can ask if something is rotting within the locker room or what the other issues within the team are. But bringing his family into it and passively aggressively putting it at his parent's feet? Get out of here with that.

Honestly don't care about any of this.

He needs to be a leader on the floor before he starts demanding things from the organization. Getting yourself thrown out of the game when YOUR team is getting blown out is weak as hell. You suck it up and make your teammates follow your lead by not mailing it in. He did the exact opposite.

It's even MORE stupid considering the fact Malone was over talking with the refs. It's not like he wasn't going to battle for Cuz.

It doesn't matter whether or not it's a secret. What matters is that he's put little-to-no effort towards changing his behavior.
He was doing well at the beginning of the year for the first time since he's been here. To say he is putting little or no effort is to ignore the substantial change earlier.

Your right I was angry when I wrote that, felt bad as a kings fan that it made the whole team look bad

I'm going to push back a little on this: I don't know anything about DeMarcus Cousins' specific circumstance, but I know a lot of men from similar backgrounds, who grew up under similar circumstances, and none of them were still overgrown babies at twenty-three. My own best friend grew up under similar circumstances, only instead of rural Alabama, it was rural Maryland.

Is it fair to blame the behavior of a twenty-three year-old on his family? No, but I do think it's fair to call his upbringing into question when a twenty-three year-old who behaves as he does on the court doesn't think that there's anything wrong with it. TTBOMK, no one from his family, or anywhere in his life outside of basketball has ever addressed his behavior; no one has ever said anything to the effect of, "I don't know what's going on with DeMarcus, but that's not how he was raised." It's not completely unreasonable to wonder whether he was brought up to think that how he acts on the court is okay?

At least Ben Mac has 4 steals. Good effort on D this game and the last.
I wouldn't mind him turning out into a 3 & D. Eventually that shot will start dropping. There has been far worse players in the league. The team believes in him which means he probably does good stuff during practice just no confidence to transfer it to game-time play.

Have you ever played the game before? I'll assume no, so let me explain to you. When you elevate, especially on an alley-oop attempt, if you get bumped, shoved, whatever you want to call it, and it knocks you off balance it affects your ability to complete your action (hence, Howard missing the dunk attempt).

Does that clear it up for you?
he missed the dunk because he tried to throw the ball through the basket from 5 feet away. Cousins barely touched him. Questioning if i have ever played basketball? just get out of here dude

Theres a reason the Petrie regime recommended trading Cousins, the guy is extremely talented but there is obviously something wrong upstairs and we probably don't even see half of it. A franchise will not get far with your best player having that kind of attitude, it just has a trickle down effect on the rest of the team. Everyone is always quick to put the blame on someone else when it comes to Cousins, but now there are no excuses, this is the same Cousins we have seen for the past 3 seasons, and quite frankly I'm getting tired of it. I would much rather have a team like the Suns that have no stars but are filled with guys that play hard 100% of the time, know their role and play like professionals. We are a team that plays hard when things are going our way and lay down like dogs when they arent'(an exact description of Demarcus Cousins). Its time we should equate the hope that Cousins comes around mentally to the hope we had that Tyreke would develop a jumper. Every season we hoped Evans had improved the jumper and it never happend, the same will happen with Cousins.

Cousins has led the league in technical fouls, literally all season. It's not like he only had, say, one, and then had a meltdown, and picked up, like, five, over the course of eight games, or something. He has, pretty consistently, had the same sort of temper tantrums all season that he had all of last season, and the season before that.

To be fair, management gave him the keys to the car, and he has thus far responded with the best statistical season of his career. But his behavior has never really changed; I wouldn't necessarily say that he'd made any changes at all.

the guy he was guarding scored 43 points before the 3rd quarter was over
He's a rookie and Harden is a baller ;)

Still, I would have traded IT, Ben Mac and two first rounder for Rondo. Just to see some organization on our team.
This is sad stuff. Cousins is supposed to be a leader. Obviously not setting by example.

Even though we were down 30 and cousins was playing harder and better than everybody else on the floor.
